MY REVIEW
Calla has only ever wanted to be a guardian, however when one of the other trainees is killed and the finger is pointed at her, her world begins to unravel.

Despite being the fifth book in the series, this continues to be well written with lots of action and suspense. There are plenty of twists to the tale and you are left wondering just who is on whose side. One note this book does end on a cliffhanger so you will have to wait to see if Calla succeeds. Although it is aimed at the young adults market, this book is a delight for adults to read too, I certainly am loving this series. One of my favourite quotes form the book is this

Bear Marked

Bear Marked by Eve Hunter

This is the second of the Bear Force novels from Eve Hunter.  It focuses on Romer Sachs-Severin, who has returned from a mission with a wounded and damaged inner bear.  Worse still he is missing chunks of this memory. At his brothers wedding he is confronted with a woman whom his bear insists is his mate.
Jessa Wickstead has only returned to New Zealand to be her best friends Maid of Honor. Attracted to Romer, she is shocked to find out that he is the man she fell for in China and devastated to realise that he has no memory of her.The two of them must work to trust each other and reassemble the missing pieces to have a future together.
Well written with likeable characters, this story is best read as a sequel to Bear Trapped. However despite that it is a standalone book and comes complete with a HEA.

Wolves of Angels Rest : Warrior

Warrior by Elisa Jade

This is the third in the books written by Elisa for the Mating Season series.
It features Thunder Cole a shapeshifter and the last of his kind. He is in Angels Rest to assist the wolves with their problem before moving on.
Bets remains in Angels rest working as a fake psychic reader, a role she took to support her orphaned niece, but has never believed in the existence of supernatural creatures, but all that has changed.
This was a wonderful, though relatively short love story of two who thought that life had passed them by.  Well written with the nature of Thunder not revealed until late on in the story, of which I will not say but I loved it.

Black & Blue

Black & Blue by Emma Jameson

Tony and Kate have returned form their Honeymoon to Kate's relatives causing chaos, a dead art dealer in their neighbourhood and more hassles from inside the yard.  This, the fourth of the Lord and Lady Hetheridge mystery series yet again sees the duo not just fend off attacks from the murder suspects but from all angles.  The book is filled with witty and quirky characters and the old stalwarts including Mrs Snell, Sir Duncan Godington, DS Bhar and his mum all make reappearances.
I had thoroughly enjoyed the previous in the series and this one did not disappoint too

A bit of holiday reading

If you are anything like me, when you head off on holiday, you look forward to having a bit more time to indulge in books. With the weather as normal for Cornwall, a lot of rainfall, I stocked up my reader with books that needed reviews and a whole lot more. This collection are the ones that I have been gifted by the authors for review and my opinions have been posted on Amazon, Goodreads and iTunes where applicable.

Blue Murder by Emma Jameson

Two Dead Men
In London's fashionable Chelsea, a Halloween bash goes terribly wrong. Emmeline Wardle, daughter of a frozen foods baron, throws a party which results in the demise of two university schoolmates. Handsome golden boy Trevor Parsons is dead. So is pasty computer nerd Clive French. Both died on the Wardle estate within minutes of one another, and both died the same way - an axe to the skull. Given the social connections of all involved, New Scotland Yard sends a real baron to investigate: Chief Superintendent Anthony Hetheridge, also known as Lord Hetheridge, ninth baron of Wellegrave.
Two Prime Suspects
This time around, Detective Sergeant Kate Wakefield and her partner, Detective Sergeant Deepal "Paul" Bhar, have their work cut out. Bhar must contend with Emmeline Wardle, a spoiled blonde with a penchant for the finer things, including a certain illegal white powder. Kate must decide if Kyla Sloane, model-pretty and delicate, is being truthful about the events of that fateful night. And if Kyla's connection to a former lover of Bhar's means nothing - or everything.

This the second book in the series sees us back again with Kate, Deepal and Tony. Within the first chapter it had me smiling as the interplay between Kate and her partner, Deepal, reminded me of why I enjoyed the first book, it was Ms Jameson's skill in creating a beautifully crafted story with great attention to the plot whilst maintaining interesting characters that are multidimensional. They each have their own problems yet with plenty of action and a good dose of humour they work together to solve a double murder that occurred in a crowded party. A well written tale and well worth the read.

A Faeries Secret, Creepy Hollow Book 4 by Rachael Morgan

Calla Larkenwood wants nothing more than to be a guardian, but her overprotective mother has never allowed it. Battling fae creatures is too dangerous a job for a young girl, and there’s that pesky magical ability she needs to keep hidden from the Guild. How can she do that if she’s working right under their nose?
When circumstances change and Calla finally gets to follow her dream, she discovers guardian trainee life isn’t all she hoped it would be. Her classmates are distant, her mentor hates her, and keeping her ability a secret is harder than she thought. Then an Underground initiation game goes wrong, landing Calla with a new magical ability she can’t control. She needs help—and the only way to get it is by bargaining with the guy who just discovered her biggest secret.

Perfect for fans of Throne of Glass, Unenchanted, and Graceling.

The Clockwise Collection Box Set by Elle Strauss

Clockwise: A teen time traveler accidentally takes her secret crush back in time.

Awkward.
(12+)

Casey Donovan has issues: hair, height and uncontrollable trips to the 19th century! And now this --she's accidentally taken Nate Mackenzie, the cutest boy in the school, back in time.
Awkward.
Protocol pressures her to tell their 1860 hosts that he is her brother and when Casey finds she has a handsome, wealthy (and unwanted) suitor, something changes in Nate. Are those romantic sparks or is it just "brotherly" protectiveness?
When they return to the present, things go back to the way they were before: Casey parked on the bottom of the rung of the social ladder and Nate perched high on the very top. Except this time her heart is broken. Plus, her best friend is mad, her parents are split up, and her younger brother gets escorted home by the police. The only thing that could make life worse is if, by some strange twist of fate, she took Nate back to the past again.
Which of course, she does.

ClockwiseR:

The last year has been smooth sailing for Casey Donovan. She and her boyfriend Nate are doing better than ever, and things at home are good, too.
Everything's been so calm, she hasn't "tripped" back to the nineteenth century
in ages.

Then the unthinkable happens and she accidentally takes her rebellious brother
Tim back in time. It's 1862 with the Civil War brewing, and for Tim this spells
adventure and excitement. Finding himself stuck in the past, he enlists in the Union army, but it doesn't take long before he discovers real life war is no fun and games.
Casey and Nate race against the clock to find Tim, but the strain wears on their relationship. It doesn't help that the intriguing new boy next door has his sights on Casey, and isn't shy to let her know it.
Can Nate and Casey find Tim in time to save him? And is it too late to save
their love?

Like Clockwork:

Adeline doesn't feel she belongs in her own time, but can bad boys from the past be trusted?
Adeline Savoy had hoped that the move west from Cambridge to Hollywood with her single dad would mean they'd finally bond like a real family, but all she got
was a father too busy with his new female friends and his passion for acting to
really see her.
Instead she finds herself getting attached to Faye, the divorcee hair dresser she befriends when she travels back in time to 1955. Plus Faye has a hottie, James Dean-esque, bad-boy brother who has Adeline's heart all aflutter. But bad boys from the past can be dangerous.
Is it possible that Adeline really does belong in her own time and that maybe the right boy lives as close as next door?

What a wonderful collection of stories. Written for the young adult market, these tales manage to capture the imagination. I loved the characters, how they interacted and how the history was woven into the tale. Especially the first two books focusing on the American Civil War, it managed to both integrate the political and social aspects of the time frame whist having a thoroughly modern girl coping with the obvious problems that are presented to a haphazard time traveller. Throw in teenage award relationships and you have a fantastic complex tale with some excellent twists.

Joker by Elisa Jade

The local bad boy discovers an AWOL female wannabe werewolf hunter has infiltrated the town and threatens to force shift her to make her see the light (moonlight, that is) about wolves.
Born and raised in a clandestine paramilitary cult dedicated to destroying all shapeshifting monsters, Leela Jones has to prove her worth by testing her deadly new revolvers on the terrible white wolfman. Too bad he caught her. Even worse, she’s not sure if she wants to get away.
Vicious werewolf hunters killed Bastian Villalobos’ father and left him to run wild, dreaming of a someday revenge. But when that someday comes, it’s in the soft, quiet shape of a lonely woman suffering the same pain as him. She knows him in a way no one else does, and together they could broker a ceasefire between their people. Except not everyone wants peace.

Leela frustrated that her grandfather was greeting her as if she was unvalued, sets out to provide that she can be as good as the boys in fighting the werewolves. However, she meets her match when she is captured by Bastion and comes to realise that what she has been led to believe may not be the whole truth.
An easy flowing tale with likeable characters. It can easily be read as a standalone book as the background plot whilst has common ground with the first tale, is not relient on it for the storyline.

Something Blue by Emma Jameson

SOMETHING OLD... Anthony Hetheridge, ninth baron of Wellegrave and chief superintendent for New Scotland Yard, will marry Kate Wakefield in three weeks. It's inevitable--the invitations are out, the flowers are ordered, the cake is chosen. But murder waits for no man, and no wed

ding.

SOMETHING NEW... In London's prestigious West End, a disgraced CEO has been murdered at Hotel Nonpareil, an exclusive destination. No one, it seems, liked Michael Martin Hughes. Not his estranged wife, Thora, or his defiant son, Griffin. Not Hotel Nonpareil's manager, its head of security, or perhaps even the other two women in Hughes's life: his future bride, Arianna, or his secret girlfriend, Riley. Still more ominously, before Hughes died, he incurred the wrath of a potentially more unforgiving foe: Sir Duncan Godington, longtime nemesis of both CS Hetheridge and DS Deepal "Paul" Bhar.

SOMETHING BORROWED... For the first time, CS Hetheridge, Kate and Bhar find themselves under tremendous pressure to uncover the killer in the shortest time frame ever. Has Scotland Yard, not to mention Downing Street, lost confidence in Hetheridge? Will the murder conviction rest on hard forensic evidence, a mountain of circumstantial details, or an impulsive theft?

As the Wedding looms, Anthony and his team find themselves attacked from all angles.  Murder waits for nobody and political wranglings from the highest level add to the stress with time constraints and interference from family and nemeses.  A wonderfully crafted tale, this time the ending leaves a few threads that are not fully tied off, one hopes that when they unravel they trip up the villains and not the dynamic trio.

Awakening

Awakening by K.K. Gould

Sparks fly when Jace Waylen finds Adara Helios, the woman who broke his heart, locked in the cell of a dungeon.
Liza and Brax have completed their Mate Bond. She feels like she can start moving forward with her life. She decides to reconnect with Jonah, her stepfather, but destiny has other plans for the Immortal Savior. Jace and Jonah need her help, but she must learn to accept and control the new abilities awakening within her.
Kallai is the tyrant in charge of Adara's former village. He has become more unstable than anyone realizes. With the help of Jace and Liza, a mission is underway to unseat Kallai and restore peace between Jonah's pack and the Phoenix clans of the East Coast.

This is turning out to be a wonderfully interwoven tale.  I love following the many threads of the different people as they each find themselves yet are balanced to work together fighting a greater evil. In this book Jace and Adara work out their differences and Liza and Brax begin to come to terms with the powers that are awakening within Liza.  I am so looking forward to how this tale continues to unfold in the next one.

To Win A Mate

To Win A Mate by Krystal Shannan

What a lovely short story. Jared was attending a charity function not intending to partake in bidding for a date with any of the women who had volunteered for the event, but when one of the girls was substituted at the last minute, both him and his wolf's interest are stirred. The characters were well written and the plot not only believable but refreshingly not overly dramatic. A real pleasure to read.

Treasure Lane Dragons

Treasure Lane Dragons by Anya Nowlan

I reviewed the first of the Treasure Lane Dragons series last month and loved the strong confident characters that Anya created. These are the next two books in the series, both are easy reads and not overly long. I read each of them in an afternoon.

Billionaire Dragon's Mate

Cillian Greenmeadow is a fixer, the guy who makes problems disappear in a puff of smoke. Confident, charming and a real bad boy at heart, right down to the tattoos, everything seems to come easy to the Alpha dragon. Only when he meets a sexy, stubborn Italian mob princess does Cillian feel that he might have found a problem he just can't fix. Worse yet, he may not want to. Wouldn't getting in trouble with her be a lot more fun?
Ruby Accardo's done everything right all her life. Now, she's committed to doing everything wrong and it doesn't take too long until it catches up with her. When a particular dragon shows up to get her out of her bind, all bets are off. Stuck between an offer she can't refuse and a werewolf biker that won't take no for an answer, Ruby needs to decide between being good and being bad far faster than she'd intended to.
But if the right choice includes a hard, devilish billionaire dragon, maybe it won't be so bad?
Add in a foe with a grudge and a marriage that just has to happen and you're left with a lot of fire and no one to put it out...
Ruby tired of being told who to be, finally rebels only to find herself in need of rescuing. Enter Cillian, a dragon with a problem, he has to work to bolster his dwindling gold reserves. this job he is sent to find a runaway mob daughter, except, when he finds her he sees that she is the treasure he has been missing.
I really enjoyed  the story, liking both the main characters. Cillian, we were briefly introduced to in the last book, The Billionaire Bride, but it is in this tale that we get to know him. He is strong and caring, worried about his responsibilities and how the Greenmedow dragons would be viewed by the others if they found out about the lack of gold in their hold. he is so busy fixing others problems that he does not see that his own could do with fixing too.
Ruby came across as quite a spoilt brat to start with, she ran away because she did not want her family dictating what she could do, however her decision to run with the bad boys of Red Alpha pack, leads to more trouble. She might have been spoilt, but has a brain and quickly decides to try and extract herself from the predicament and this strength and intelligence is what give her character interest.
As with the other tales in the series, they are stand alone books complete with happy ending.  There is though, a background plot of where some of the Dragons problems are coming from. Whilst you could enjoy each book on its own, having this piece of interest in the background makes me want to read the last in the series to know who really is behind the problems and why!

Billionaire Dragons Fated

This final of the trilogy, unites the Goldplains twins, Alexander and Apollo with their mate Jade. The twins were introduced in the first of the books as the healing dragons, but it is in this tale that you find out how they earn their wealth, as rock stars. Whilst Apollo is the classic rock star living it wild, Alexander saves himself for his one true love. It is not until Jade auditions for the roll of their bassist that both dragons sit up and take notice.
The tale is easy flowing with well developed characters. The plot follows similar lines to the previous tales, so in that respect it is very predictable. There was the hint of a subplot in the first two books, with where dissension was coming from, and I felt that this could have been expanded on thus linking the tales better together. Instead the trouble came from an entirely different source. But despite that I enjoyed the story and would recommend it to those who enjoy Dragon shifters. As each of the stories are standalone, they could be read in any order though there is a bit of timeline with respect to the other dragons but it wouldn't significantly spoil the enjoyment of the tales if you did.

Dragon Wars

Dragon Wars by Rebecca Royce

Forever

Devin Owen has come back from the Dragon Wars a changed Werewolf. For one thing, he's lost his wolf side as well as much of his desire to live. He spends most of his life doped up to handle the pain from his injured leg.
Lena Knox knew the moment she met Devin that he was her mate. But, she’d been a child at the time and he hadn't noticed her at all. Now, all grown up, she wants Devin to be the wolf she’s waited for. Not that she has a lot of time for longing with life and home crumbling around her.
A couple of heated encounters draw them together, but is it enough to overcome the war wounds they both carry? Or will an outside enemy destroy them before they get the chance to find forever?
An endearing tale of how one werewolf helps another overcome his PTSD. This is the first in a new series by Rebecca Royce and it sets the scene of the continuing fight between the dragons and werewolves. An easy relatively quick read.

Eternal

Dougal Owens has served on the front line of The Dragon Wars for sixteen years. The last thing this Alpha werewolf expects is his mate to drop in with a plan to end the war. Together, they will battle to save the Wolves or die trying.
The second in the series of Dragon Wars books finds another of the Owen brothers fighting on the front line, when assistance is sent from back home to hopefully help turn the tide. Whilst the focus of the tale is on the love story between Dougal and Caitlin, I love the back story that Rebecca always manages to weave in. A longer story than the first one, it has plenty of action and a wonderful twist at the end leaving you interested in continuing with the plot. This is a complete tale and can be read as a standalone but you will want to read the next!

Under The Lights

Under the Lights by Rebecca Royce

12 Authors. 12 Zodiac Signs. 1 Explosive Series.

What seductive, contemporary romance will you find today?

VIRGO.

If Virgo Teirney Mitchell could run her personal life as smoothly as she stage-managed the hit Broadway show Loopy, she’d be a happy woman. However dating someone in the spotlight isn’t for everyone—especially for one who has spend her life hiding behind the curtain. Despite the odds, their passion burns as the show must go on. Can these two see there is love to be had both under and away from the lights?
A quick read by yet another good author in this series. This time Rebecca Royce lends her skills to a busy stage manager who whilst juggling her sick mother's care, finds herself attracted to the lead actor in the play she is managing. A tender heartwarming tale that is complete with a happy ever after.

For BearAnce

ForBearAnce 3 by Claudia M Farwell

Mary’s life is on the brink of disaster. Her clan is under constant threat of death – and it’s all because of her!
A death on their watch has left Mary and Jackson with two new clan brothers, and a lot of grief. Worst of all, the outcast is still running free – and he won’t give Mary up without a fight!
Tensions mount as the outcast strikes again, putting the whole clan at risk. Will Mary put herself in danger to save her clan? Can Jackson rescue her before the outcast steals her away forever?
The final part of the tale find the clan in turmoil following the death of Mason. Added to that the risk of attack from the outcast still looms large.

This is the final part of the ForBearAnce books and the tale continues to flow well as the characters are well developed from the previous books. There is sufficient tension developed towards the conclusion and we are given a happy ever after ending. One bit I was wondering was the slight twist involving the decision by the young twins, Darius and Dixon in the end, perhaps it was to allow the development of another tale?

The Druid Series: An Immortal Highlander Box Set

The Druid Series by Mandy M. Roth

A box set containing:

Sacred Places
Goddess of the Grove
Winter Solstice

Sacred Places:

Sometimes fated love requires some good old-fashioned magikal meddling.
Coyle O'Caha, a seven-hundred-year-old immortal, druid sorcerer, is a famed warrior among his kind and a legendary ladies' man--but that doesn't mean he hasn't spent his life looking for his soulmate. That one woman who will make him feel whole. When Deri walks into his seaside pub, clearly running from something or someone, it's all he can do to not sweep her off her feet and claim her right then and there. It's as if the goddess is mocking him. Not only is his mate immune to his charms and his magik, she's human.
Deri Sullivan's new boss has a Scottish lilt that makes her knees weak. The problem is he's a certified ladies' man. And she's sworn off those types--for good. If only she could stop dreaming about him in ways that would make any girl blush. See, she has a secret, and even if she wanted to let Coyle into her bed, she couldn't actually let him into her life. Witches and humans imply don't mix.

Goddess of the Grove

Sacred, worshiped...hunted.
All Korey O'Caha wants in his immortal life is to keep evil at bay, protect the witches he was destined to teach and to bed as many women as possible. He doesn't want love but he didn't plan on Gigi. Her very presence calls all he vowed sacred in life into question. She quickly becomes his reason for existing but can she ever fully accept him and who he is-a seven hundred year old immortal druid sorcerer? Will the secrets she's hiding be his undoing?
Gigi, the daughter of a great god, could not stand idly by and allow innocent druid children to be slaughtered. She intervened, placing them under her protection. In the end she was imprisoned in a place where time moved differently than here on earth. That was almost seven hundred years ago. Once freed, she ran as far from the old country as she could. Never did she expect to find ties to the land, let alone a man who stirs her blood the way Korey does.
As shadows from the past resurface, bringing news of an uprising, truth and passion ignite, leaving Gigi at the mercy of Korey.

Winter Solstice

Powerful, immortal, magikal and cursed to the shadows of the night. Gordon O’Caha, a seven-hundred-year-old druid sorcerer, fell in battle centuries ago. When he recovered, he found he wasn’t as he’d once been, purely magik. He was much, much more. Now, he shares his body with darkness—a demon gifted to him by the blood drinkers he’d been attacked by. His family and clan haven’t turned their back on him. It’s Gordon who has shut himself away from them. This hardened man does what he has to in order to survive—he drinks blood, feeds his sexual lust and exists. Nothing more. That is, until a sassy slip of a woman careens into him on the street, spilling her hot coco all over his groin. It’s literally hotter than he can handle. The minx isn’t what she appears to be and when her secrets are revealed, so is a dangerous plot.
Chelsy Riley is doing her best to get by. Her grandmother’s passing left her without family and with a tiny used bookstore to run. She thinks it’s as hectic as it can get. When she slams into a sexy, gruff man who seems oddly out of time and place, she learns what secrets her past holds and that her future is full of endless possibilities. That is, only if she doesn’t become a sacrifice for dark mages.

This was a fantastic box set. I so got hooked from the very first chapter. The characters were interesting and believable even though they are clearly supernatural creatures. It was a smooth flowing storyline and you are quickly swept into a charming world where you have an immortal druid tending a seaside pub! With witches, druids, vampires and demons it is a fantasy tale of note. Roll on September when the next book, A Druid of Her Own should be appearing.

Not Until You

Not Until You by Roni Loren

From the author of the Loving on the Edge novels comes a story of a good girl who discovers that once you dare to cross some lines, it’s hard to turn back… Split originally into eight parts, Dare, Risk, Crave, Trust, Beg, Surrender, Believe and Love, it follows the journey of Cela as she finds both her love and enjoyment of submission.

Not Until You, Part I Not Until You Dare

On the night of her graduation, innocent veterinary student Cela decides to play a game of Never Have I Ever with the two hot neighbours she’s been quietly crushing on for the last year. Always the prim and proper student, Cela thinks she’s earned a wild night before she has to move back home under the watchful gaze of her family. But what starts out as a simple game is about to take a very sensual turn... Ian Foster is tired of playing games. With his membership to The Ranch, an exclusive BDSM resort, and a musician roommate named Pike who brings home groupies with a taste for ménage, Foster has a life most guys would kill for. But lately, his need for dominance is no longer satisfied via one-night stands. He craves the full surrender of one woman—a submissive of his own. But when his quiet, sweet-as-sugar neighbour shows up at their door with a bottle of tequila and an invitation, Foster decides he and Pike may have time for one more fling…

I started this collection with just part one but quickly found that I enjoyed both the writing style and the plot. Very much an erotic romance, it features elements of BDSM, and as such would not interest some people.  It is now available as a collection which is better value for money though I only found it on Amazon UK in that format.  It is on Google so for the US market, it may be worth trying there or iBooks

When you’re the top wolf on the continent with the backing of the Goddess, how does an enemy topple your kingdom? By challenging you to a fight?  No. By changing the rules.  After three hundred years of fighting and service to the Goddess, Silas Knight is the Patron, Alpha to the Alphas on the North American continent. As the top wolf, he fears little and has seen most things. But when he discovers someone or something has been quietly disturbing the natural order of things, he’s surprised. Certain human women have the ability to birth fully functioning wolves, and that’s a major problem.  Jasmine Bennett has no idea her deceased husband was a wolf shifter or that her twin sons are shifters. Her life changes when she rushes to her son’s bedside after he’s wounded in Afghanistan and returned stateside. Now her life’s in danger because of her ability to give birth to a breed of beings she never knew existed.

This was a brilliant start to a new series.  There were strong characters, and interesting plot with a novel twist on the Alpha and his abilities.  I loved the spunky heroine and disliked the hero’s attitude but it all added to the story.  With some of the characters being similarly named it was confusing identifying who was who at times but beyond that it was a well-written story.

This had been the first time I had read anything by Sydney Addae and I really enjoyed my first visit to La Patron's world.

BirthControl

After sending out a mating call which Silas answered, Jasmine’s pregnant and depressed. Her life has spiraled out of control. Silas is angry that his first “litter of pups” are half breeds. A group of human breeders offer her a chance to leave Silas, offering a strange brand of protection. When a human breeder enters the compound using a weapon the wolves are helpess against, Silas and Jasmine understand the true meaning of Birth Control.

This, the second book in La Patron’s story and it is better than the first.  Whilst I disliked Silas’s attitude in the first novel, as he struggles to realise just what Jasmine means to him, we also come to realise his motives and drive and in doing so, come to like him.  The background plot continues to develop allowing some of the lesser characters to have greater depth and adding to the overall enjoyment of the story.

BirthMark

Silas and Jasmine learn they are being targeted for destruction. Their enemies are desperate to stop Silas before he finds them. With the backing of the Goddess, a nation of wolves, two bad ass step-sons, and a mate who has his back, Silas is fast on their trail. To slow him down, an onslaught of problems are unleashed, one right after the other barely giving him room to breathe before the next catastrophe hits. But as the Goddess’ top Wolf, Silas rises to the challenge in this fast paced tale, proving he is LaPatron, the Alpha’s Alpha.

As the dangers mount, Silas and Jasmine bond closer together to protect their family.  This continues to be a fast paced tale, with a well-written interesting plot.  You are dragged into La Patron’s world and want to know how they tackle their common enemy.

I now just have to read the last three books in the series which I have just purchased.  They are loaded on the reader ready to go.
